At the time, STRs in Greenville made up only a small share of housingโaround 4% countywideโvery different from Folly Beach, where nearly half of all homes were STRs in 2023. The scale and impact are not comparable.
My stance has always been consistent: I support stronger restrictions statewide and believe Follyโs STR Cap is the right way to protect our community. Iโve always stood for balance, not bans. Itโs time to move forward and stay focused on Follyโs future.
