What an incredible turnout yesterday. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to talk, listen, and share ideas about the future of Folly Beach.
A question that came up several times was whether I’m open to looking at small tweaks to the Short-Term Rental Cap. The answer is yes. I’m always open to listening and finding ways to make good policies even better, while maintaining the integrity of the cap.
That’s exactly what guided my votes on City Council for allowing licenses to be issued in cases of inheritance and medical hardship. Those changes enhanced the policy without undermining its purpose.
Thank you again to everyone who came out, asked great questions, and shared thoughtful perspectives. This campaign is built on those conversations and on our shared commitment to keeping Folly Beach a place we’re all proud to call home.
