Folly Beach stands at an inflection point where growth, tourism, climate pressures, and infrastructure challenges are all converging. This election isn’t about politics; it’s about vision — a vision that keeps Folly in balance, ensures sustainability for our environment and economy, and strengthens the community that makes this island unlike anywhere else.
That vision has guided my work, my service, and my plans for Folly’s future. But it’s not just mine — it’s one we build together. When people are heard, included, and respected, our city becomes stronger and more united.
Together, let’s keep Folly moving forward — with balance, sustainability, and community at the heart of every decision.
Balance
At the heart of effective leadership is balance — the ability to weigh different perspectives, find common ground, and move forward with fairness and purpose. Leadership isn’t about flash or slogans; it’s about showing up, listening, and getting things done for the right reasons.
I offer leadership that isn’t tied to personal gain or political agenda. I offer leadership rooted in respect, accountability, and service to the people of Folly Beach.
The principle of balance guides my work: balancing the needs of residents and businesses, protecting our environment while planning for growth, and making decisions grounded in data and collaboration. As mayor, I’ll continue to bring that steady, balanced approach to every issue we face. It’s how we protect what makes Folly special while continuing to build a strong, sustainable future together.
Sustainability
Our island’s natural beauty and fragile ecosystem are what make Folly special, and they require thoughtful stewardship. As we look ahead, water will be our greatest challenge, from rising tides and marsh flooding to stormwater management and infrastructure resilience.
How we plan for and respond to water will shape everything else we do as a community. My plan focuses on real, achievable action: improving drainage, protecting our dunes and marshes, strengthening the causeway, and reducing septic risks.
Sustainability isn’t a slogan — it’s the foundation of every decision we make about infrastructure, growth, and public investment. The choices we make today will determine whether Folly remains livable, resilient, and uniquely itself for generations to come.
Community
My commitment to Folly isn’t just about policy — it’s reflected in how I show up and support our community every day. You’ll find me volunteering at Beach Litter Sweeps, helping organize local events, and working alongside the neighbors and organizations that make this island special.

I’ve built and maintained websites for the Folly Beach Civic Club, Exchange Club, and Mahjong Club, assisted with the Folly Beach History Museum site, and consistently supported community initiatives that bring people together. These efforts aren’t about recognition; they’re about connection — helping our volunteers, clubs, and nonprofits reach more people and continue the work that keeps Folly such a close-knit, caring community.
That same commitment extends to protecting the integrity of the Short-Term Rental Cap. From the very beginning, I’ve been out front on this issue — never proposing amendments to weaken it, fighting efforts to exclude HOAs, and standing firm to preserve its intent. The Cap isn’t a problem; it’s part of a balanced approach that protects the character of our neighborhoods and ensures Folly remains a living, breathing community — not just a destination.
As mayor, I’ll continue to defend the Cap as a cornerstone of fairness and stability — because keeping Folly livable means protecting what makes it feel like home.
The Choice Ahead
With your support, we can keep Folly Beach a place defined by balance, sustainability, and community — a place where residents feel heard, businesses feel supported, and the island we all love remains strong and vibrant for generations to come.
I would love to have your vote and would be honored to be your next Mayor.
