As we head into Tuesday’s runoff vote, our community deserves more than single-issue politics. Folly Beach is facing real challenges and real opportunities, and the next mayor must be ready to lead on all of them. And unlike flashy ads or one-note messaging, I’ve chosen to spend my time directly with the people of Folly Beach. I’ve held nine meet-and-greets and spent countless hours at the Post Office talking with residents about the issues facing our community. I’ve done this because I believe real communication is essential for good leadership. Listening matters. Showing up matters. Conversations matter.
The next Mayor sets the agenda and sets the path that Folly will take for the next four years and beyond. I’m not here to serve an agenda. I’m here to serve the people of Folly Beach. My decisions will be guided by what strengthens our community, protects our quality of life, and prepares us for the future. No special interests. No personal gain. Just service.
Folly needs a leader who can protect neighborhoods, modernize infrastructure, support local businesses, build environmental resilience, and preserve our character because every one of these issues touches the others. Leading this city means seeing the whole picture, not just one part of it.
I’m proud to be the only candidate in this race offering real, workable plans for stormwater improvements, causeway and flood-risk strategy, beach and marsh protection, long-term housing stability, responsible tourism, and the financial discipline to keep our city strong. I’ve shown up with data, with solutions, and with a steady commitment to balanced, community-focused leadership.
In this runoff, I’m asking for your vote because I’m ready to lead on every issue, not just one. I’m ready to keep Folly Beach balanced, sustainable, and centered on its people. And I’m ready to move our city forward with integrity, thoughtful planning, and a deep respect for the community we all love.
